    The military provides two options for the use of your Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH). The first option is living on post. Your second option is using your BAH to rent or buy a home off post. We provide you with military friendly information to help you maximize your BAH. 

    • The Housing Services Office (HSO)  (912) 315-5327. Contact the HSO as soon as you know you are moving. You will be provided with the latest information on local housing as well as referral services and relocation assistance. They offer counseling and guidance before entering into a lease agreement and help resolve tenant-landlord disputes.

    Hunter Army Airfield On Post Housing  

    • Single Soldiers with a pay grade of E1-E5 should contact the Marne Reception Center (MRC) at (912) 767-1743.

    • Hunter Army Airfield on-post housing is privatized and operated by Balfour Beatty Communities (912) 459-2133 or (844) 325-1266, which offers 5 neighborhoods with 2-4 bedroom townhome and single family residences based on family size and pay grade. Home amenities may include: balcony, central AC, washer/dryer hookups and garage. The community features fitness centers, splash parks, playgrounds, tot-lots and more.

    About Hunter Army Airfield
    Hunter Army Airfield offers an 11,000 foot runway to assist the 3rd Infantry Division from nearby Fort Stewart to deploy soldiers and cargo worldwide. NASA designated Hunter as an alternate landing site for the Space Shuttle. Other units stationed here include the 260th Quartermaster Battalion and the 177th Air Control Squadron.
